The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) is a nonpartisan 501(c)(3) organization based in Washington, DC, dedicated to developing Latino leadership across government, corporate, and nonprofit sectors. CHCI offers comprehensive professional development programs designed to prepare talented Latino students and young professionals for impactful careers in public service and policy. The organization's signature offerings include the Public Policy Fellowship Program, a nine-month paid fellowship for college graduates pursuing careers in policy leadership; the Masters or JD Postgraduate Fellowship Program for advanced degree holders seeking hands-on experience in public policy; and the Congressional Internship Program, which places undergraduate students in paid 10-12 week positions within congressional offices. CHCI also operates the Latino Hill Staff Academy, a specialized professional development program for Capitol Hill staffers at all levels seeking leadership advancement in the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives. For emerging leaders, the NextGen Latino Leadership Program provides high school students with immersive week-long experiences in Washington, DC, exploring the nation's political and civic landscape.
