About Consulate General of Chile in Detroit

The functions of the Consulate are:

- Protect the rights and interests of the Chilean State and its nationals.
- Promote the development of commercial, economic, cultural and scientific relations between Chile and the United States.
- Act as a Notary Public, Minister of Public Faith and Civil Registry - Officer in notarial or civil status acts that will have effect in Chile.
- Grant passports and travel documents to Chileans in their - jurisdiction.
- Grant visas to foreigners who require them to visit or stay in Chile.

Consulate General of Chile in Detroit has jurisdiction over the states of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Ohio and Wisconsin.
