The Hispanic-American Association of Women (AHAM) is a dedicated 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving the Greenville, SC community and the broader South Carolina Upstate region. Since 1999, AHAM has been committed to advancing higher education opportunities for Hispanic high school students through comprehensive scholarship programs and educational support services. The organization provides direct financial assistance to qualifying students pursuing post-secondary education, having invested over $640,000 in scholarships throughout its 24-year history of continuous service. Beyond financial aid, AHAM delivers educational training and social management programs designed to prepare Hispanic youth for success in higher education. The organization actively promotes Hispanic culture and traditions through sponsored community events throughout the Upstate, including their signature Scholarship Award Ceremony, Hispanic Heritage Festival, and Annual Gala. AHAM's multifaceted approach combines scholarships, cultural programming, and educational advocacy to increase the rate of Hispanic youth entering and completing higher education.
