About Hispanic Women’s Network of Texas
The Hispanic Women’s Network of Texas (HWNT), is a non-profit state-wide organization established in 1986. HWNT’s purpose is to promote the advancement of women in public, corporate and civic life through education, personal and professional development.
HWNT and its eight chapter’s statewide unite to celebrate the positive image and values of its Hispanic heritage and empowering women across the great State of Texas.
In 1986, Latina visionaries from across Texas recognized the need for a statewide Latina-based leadership organization. HWNT became a state-wide organization with headquarters located in Austin, Texas made up of 7 chapters across the state of Texas: Austin, Corpus Christi, Dallas, El Paso, Fort Worth, San Antonio, Austin, and the Rio Grande Valley. Our members are from diverse backgrounds, each of them committed to promoting the participation of Hispanic women in public, corporate and civic arenas. Together we seek to celebrate the positive image and values of the Hispanic culture.
HWNT is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and has become the premier Hispanic women's organization in Texas. Collaboration is fundamental to our success.
Our mission is to seek the advancement of women in corporate, public and civic life. HWNT seeks to advance the educational, cultural, social, legal, and economic well-being of all women through a broader awareness of their role in society, business, and family.
