Latinx Greek Council at UCLA

The Latinx Greek Council at UCLA serves as the officially recognized governing body for eight historically Latinx-based Greek organizations at the University of California, Los Angeles. This comprehensive student organization provides strategic leadership, programming coordination, and institutional support across all member chapters in the Los Angeles area.

The council delivers a robust suite of services designed to strengthen member organizations and advance Latinx interests on campus. Through its Executive Board, four standing committees (Programming, Fundraising, Scholarship, and Expansion), Judicial Board, and General Council structure, the organization manages multiple high-impact initiatives. The Latinx Greek Council coordinates scholarship programs for incoming freshmen and transfer students demonstrating academic excellence and community service commitment, including support for students under California Assembly Bill 540.

Programming offerings span three major focus areas: Higher Education and Latinx Student Retention, Latinx Greek Leadership Development, and Cultural Awareness. The council facilitates the annual "Bienvenida" welcome fair, Presidents Council leadership training workshops, quarterly all-Greek workshops covering topics from sexual awareness to recruitment strategies, and community service events through the "Greeks in the Community" initiative. Additional programs include the Roundtable Series addressing pressing community issues, Alumni Networking Night for professional development, and the annual Latinx Greek Week celebration.

The council also manages the History of Latinx Greeks Think Tank, a planning committee developing a student-led seminar course on this important subject.
