Plaza de Nuestra Comunidad

Plaza de Nuestra Comunidad is a comprehensive community-serving nonprofit based in Eugene, OR, dedicated to supporting Latinx and immigrant families through a diverse range of programs and services. Created in 2021 through the strategic merger of Centro Latino Americano, Downtown Languages, and Huerto de la Familia, Plaza brings together decades of collaborative expertise to serve the Eugene and Springfield communities across Lane County.

The organization operates multiple service delivery points, including offices in Eugene and Springfield, six community gardens across three cities, and partnerships with eight local schools spanning three school districts. This expansive network ensures that families throughout the region have accessible touchpoints for support and resources. Plaza's service portfolio encompasses business development support for Latinx-owned enterprises, mental health and wellness initiatives including caregiver support programs, family literacy education through the Pilas Family Literacy Program, youth mental health workshops, and community garden programs that promote both food security and community connection.

Plaza's approach is rooted in cultural competency and lived experience, with staff, board leadership, and organizational structure reflecting the diverse communities they serve. This commitment ensures that every family who walks through their doors in Eugene, OR experiences genuine welcome, culturally responsive care, and a genuine sense of belonging.
