Unidos Now

Unidos Now is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering the Hispanic/Latino community in Sarasota and Manatee counties through comprehensive education, integration, and civic engagement initiatives. Since its founding in 2010, the organization has evolved from an all-volunteer operation into a professionally staffed nonprofit that serves hundreds of families annually on their path to achieving their American Dream.

The organization specializes in post-secondary education attainment, establishing itself as a leader in creating educational pipelines that extend from elementary school through high school and into college. Unidos Now operates multiple intergenerational programs designed to support entire families, including the 2-Gen Empowered Parents program, which equips parents with essential skills to navigate the education system and effectively advocate for their children's success. The Future Leaders Academy programs provide targeted college preparation for students interested in pursuing higher education or quality certification and technical career pathways.

With a commitment to cultural competence and multigenerational engagement, Unidos Now has demonstrated significant impact across the Sarasota region. The organization has helped empower over 8,600 students and families while facilitating the attainment of 16 million dollars in scholarships and grants. By combining community collaboration with dedicated family-centered services, Unidos Now continues to elevate the quality of life for Hispanic/Latino families in the area, ensuring that first-generation and low-income students have genuine opportunities to reach their highest potential.
