Members represent all levels of nursing at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing, including students pursuing Master's, Doctor of Nursing Practice, and PhD degrees, as well as both local and distance learning students.

HLSNAG maintains active engagement with the broader nursing community through hybrid meetings scheduled monthly, accommodating both in-person and virtual participation based on student availability. Since its establishment in 2018, HLSNAG has grown substantially as the Hispanic/Latinx nursing student population at Vanderbilt has expanded. Under the leadership of faculty advisor Dr. Shelza Rivas and dedicated student leaders, the organization has become an essential component of the learning experience for Hispanic/Latinx nursing students in Nashville, providing community, advocacy, and professional support.
